Do You Want to be Made Whole?

You may be reading this right now experiencing symptoms of illness or pain within your body. Perhaps the pain is not physical or visible, but much deeper. Maybe it’s mental or spiritual anguish you’ve carried on your shoulders. Regardless of the nature of the illness, there is only one true Physician able to heal and restore every part of your spirit, soul, and body.

The Physician is the Lord Himself.
The cure is in the Word.

The Physician is the Lord Himself, and the infallible cure is found in every line, jot, and tittle of the Word of God. The very Word-medicines that opened blind eyes, healed lepers, and raised the dead has been hidden in plain sight until now. The prophetic voice of healing has returned to stir the healing waters once again!

Before we go further, it is crucial to debunk a destructive lie that many have fallen prey to through ignorance of the Word. That is the belief that God no longer heals or uses His servants to heal.

Jesus made a clear distinction between the enemy’s desire to kill and His desire to restore life. John 10:10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly,” (NKJV).

When Jesus healed a man who was demon-possessed, blind, and mute, the religious leaders of His time accused Him of using demonic powers to free the man. Jesus answered saying, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” (Matthew 12:25-26 NKJV).

Jesus clearly distinguished the works of the kingdom of Satan (possession, bodily alignments) are contrary to His kingdom.

Jesus’ kingdom vs. Satan’s kingdom.

One of the 72 names of God is Jehovah Rapha translating to “Jehovah Who Heals.” This character and function of God was revealed to the Hebrews after being in the wilderness for 3 days. They had found no drinkable water other than the bitter waters of Marah and complained to Moses. Moses cried out, and the Lord and showed him a tree that he was to cast into the waters to turn the waters sweet. After this miracle, the Lord said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you,” (Exodus 15:26 NKJV).

Why did the Lord caution the Hebrews to keep the commandments and statutes as a prerequisite to healing? Because healing comes through the Word of God transforming our souls.

Healing comes through the Word of God transforming our souls.

Psalm 107:20, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions,” (NKJV). What is this word that heals us and what are these destructions?

Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children,” (NKJV).

You may have heard the phrase “knowledge is power” but to God, the lack of knowledge is dire and leads His people to destruction. Afterall, God is the Word (John 1:1) and Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). Jesus came into this earth to show us how to truly live and become the Word of God, because the religious leaders of the time had taken the scriptures and twisted it to their own destruction. Luke 11:52, “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered,” (NKJV).

Only those who had eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to perceive were given the grace of revelation to comprehend Him in the Scriptures (Luke 24:44-45, Matthew 13:15).

The voice of healing is the prophetic voice of many waters spoken of in Revelation 14:2 that is sent to heal the bride of Christ (His church). In order to complete the great commission given by Jesus to heal, deliver, and set free we must cleanse His people of every false understanding through the washing of water by the word.

Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish,” (NKJV).

This final cleansing is what will set apart those who have prepared themselves for the marriage of the Lamb in Revelation 19:7, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

There is only one question left to ask. It’s the only question Jesus had for the lame man who waited years for someone to take him into the healing waters of Bethesda. “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6).
