There’s a phrase that says ignorance is bliss, but what if that ignorance costs you your rights and freedom? Division has swept across the country, and there are two sides fighting for dominance and control. When we see the Democratic and Republican parties, there are surely no perfect people on either side. What is certain, however, are the overarching belief systems that define who they are.
As Christians, it is our duty to select and stand with the force that upholds righteousness and biblical principles. It’s now time to address the elephant in the room and combat beliefs that are associated with the Democratic Party. President Donald J. Trump didn’t have a clean moral track record previous to his presidency, but he has shown himself to be a leader that supports Christian ethics and values during his last three years in office. It is not the time to stay silent on what is being forced upon the masses. The Bible says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil” (Isa. 5:20) [1]. Your vote and your voice matters to God. Open your heart and mind to really see what the Democratic Party stands for. It is not a person whom you are selecting; it is a whole system of beliefs. The moral code that the forefathers of this nation came to establish is at stake. Your decision is not just a temporal one, but it is an eternal decision that you will answer to God for.
The Democratic Party has core beliefs that unify them. A few of these beliefs are utterly against Scripture and God’s nature. One major stance Democrats agree on is the acceptance of abortion. According to NJ.com, Democrats state:
“We believe unequivocally, like the majority of Americans, that every woman should have access to quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion.” [2]
True Christians do not tolerate abortion or the killing of innocent children. The Bible says, “You shall not murder” (Exo. 20:13) [1]. A 2009 study found that 784,507 abortions were conducted and reported to the CDC that year alone. That was 784,507 innocent souls who were murdered before they ever took a breath. There was no one to stand up for those unborn children who were erased from the earth. Most abortions occur in low socioeconomic minority groups, and the centers are conveniently located within those areas [4]. There is a silent genocide taking place that people are overlooking. There must be people who stand and defend the millions of babies that have been taken. The Democratic Party wants to pander the masses with the appeal of reproductive care for women, but in reality it’s giving the approval to get rid of people’s unwanted children. As Christians, we believe that our “body is a temple of the Holy Spirit” (1Co. 6:19) [1]. A woman’s body, as well as every other person’s body, in reality belongs to God. Our lives are not ours but God’s (Ref. Jer 10:23). The Lord’s teaching through the twelve Apostles is clear: “You shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill that which is begotten” [5]. God loves every precious child and judgment will be instituted on those who support and elect those in favor of this cruel system. Abortion is just one of many beliefs that the Democratic Party holds that are contrary to the Word of God. Their stances on the Middle East, Israel, and other controversial topics must be clearly understood by every believer, because much of it is actually anti-Bible and anti-God.
Contrary to popular belief and the slander of the mainstream media, President Trump has actually been one of the most pro-Christian, pro-Bible, and pro-God presidents in United States history. Set aside, for a moment, what you feel, what you think, and what you have heard about President Trump. Do you believe that Jesus would give this man a chance to redeem his past ways and turn over a new leaf? Doesn’t the Bible give hoards of examples of how God can use the most offensive sinners and use them for His glory? Donald Trump has been very vocal on his pro-life stance. He has recently stated:
“As I seek re-election this November, I need your help in contrasting my bold pro-life leadership with Joe Biden’s abortion extremism. The Democratic Party unequivocally supports abortion on-demand, up until the moment of birth, and even infanticide — leaving babies to die after failed abortions. Joe Biden’s embrace of this extreme position is most evidenced by his support for taxpayer funding of abortion on-demand” [6].
Who are we to judge this man who has done nothing but good for the kingdom of God? We cannot be easily swayed by the blatantly biased media reports and articles. Not only is this man pro-life, but he is also pro-Israel. He is supportive of the Christian people, biblical beliefs, and morals, despite what you have heard from news agencies and talk show hosts. If you believe in your heart that you are a true Christian but have any hate in your heart against this man, repent while there is still time. God is using this man to carry out His will.
The Bible makes a striking statement when it comes to believers who are in favor of the things that it is against: “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Rom. 1:32) [1]. Not only do those who embrace the Democratic Party agree with the ideologies, but they ultimately have a hand in, or are complicit in, the actions. Your vote matters. If you vote for a party that supports the killing of the unborn and many other non-biblical beliefs, may God have mercy on your soul.
We are in a time like never before; just don’t take what has been presented here, but search the facts for yourself. Ignorance is not bliss. We are accountable for everything we do, and everything we support. Do your research. Do not just believe what is said on television or online. The Bible is clear when it says “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” Eph. 5:11 [1]. Be awake and sober to what is being fed to you. God gave us His Spirit to reveal the truth to us (Ref. Joh. 16:13). Allow His Spirit to show you the truth and select leaders that uphold His Holy Word, even when it is not popular to do so. Do not be afraid to stand for what is right. Jesus told us that the world would hate us for what we believe in, just as they hated Him (Ref. Joh. 15:18).
