I recently reviewed the difference between Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and General Medicine doctors. They are similar with subtle differences. I practiced Internal Medicine for twenty years, which deals with prevention, treatment, and management of chronic diseases in adults (typically 18 years old and up). Family and General Medicine treats adults as well as children, and some of these doctors, with additional specialty training, practice Obstetrics and Gynecology or Psychiatry as well. It’s a more comprehensive view of medical care. There are over 120 medical specialties and subspecialties in the US. (1) There have been many TV shows about doctors and medicine; from Marcus Welby, M.D., a general practitioner to Doogie Howser, M.D. a teenage genius doctor who did all the specialties and many others in between. There is a deep desire in human beings to be whole, and typically the first thing that grabs our attention is when there is pain in a part of the body or there is an injury or other symptom that brings someone to a doctor to ‘fix it.’ Medicine has many modalities to try and bring healing. So, what is this family reunion about?
I believe we are spiritual, mental (soul) beings in a physical body.
I believe we are spiritual, mental (soul) beings in a physical body. Our Forerunner family has been experiencing the healing that only the great Physician can provide. Why do I say that? Because we are seeing not only supernatural, physical healings through Evangelist Michael Petro by the Holy Spirit, there are mental and spiritual healings as well, all by the power of the revelatory WORD. Examples of healings includes spina bifida, scoliosis, stage four breast cancer, multiple skin cancers, dyslexia, severe arthritis, drug addictions including alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamines, prescriptions medications, major depression, supernatural (i.e. x-ray documented fractures of broken ribs and toes, some healed in less than 24 hours) without follow up x-rays showing signs of a fracture. Physically dead people have been raised through the power of Yah in this ministry. The WORD is full of His desire to heal us.
Paul said it this way, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Tess 5:23).
Our family has fasted; one member 80 days on water for our spiritual leader and the body. We have gone through deliverance, and we are receiving the revelation of Christ “the engrafted WORD which is able to save our souls” (James 1:21).
“the engrafted WORD which is able to save our souls” – James 1:21
Under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle John said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). The early church fathers (before 325 A.D.) understood the importance of purifying the soul and that it was through the process of revelation that the soul was sanctified or made holy. It may be stereotypical, but oftentimes, family reunions can have pleasant and unpleasant moments. In Jesus’ prayer in John 17, His entire focus is on the Family reunion; it is that we would be “One” (John 17:21, 1 John 5:7-8). But for that to happen, healing must happen first, because everyone is infected or broken (Rom 3:23) with sin, the carnal mind (Rom 7:14), and must be restored in spirit, soul, and body.
Origen, an early church father, said, “Should the doctor tell the patient: you must be cut open, you must be cauterized, you must suffer other terrible things, the sick person would never entrust himself to the doctor. But sometimes he says something else and hides under a sponge that cutting and separating steel. Another time he disguises under honey the bitter and unpleasant medicine with the intention not of hurting but of healing the patient. The whole of sacred scripture is filled with such medicines”. It’s been prophesied by Christ that we will do “greater works” “if you shall ask any thing in My name [character and function]” and “I will do, if you love me and keep my commandments [Torah/mitzvot]” (John 14:12-15). The healing has begun; the healing of the family by the revelation of Christ, the WORD, the Medicine. It is the ultimate Family reunion (John 17:22). Until next time, Blessings!
