In or Out

“In the right place at the right time” is a phrase we all have heard. It can have many meanings. Financially, if an upstart company has promise, and the right investment is made at the right time, then great profits can be achieved. The needs of a certain generation, such as the baby boomers, can determine the flow of the economy, even the politics of our nation. So, tapping into a niche of that group can be in the right place at the right time.

The spiritual revivals of the 50’s shifted the world spiritually as supernatural “signs and wonders” impacted the Christian world at that time. But what happened? As financial systems change and there are fluctuations in the economy, as cohorts of the population change, so do businesses that market to and serve that population. Is it the same for the Church, the body of Christ? Are there many flavors of the Truth that can bring “deliverance to the captives” and “recovering of sight to the blind” (Ref Luke 4:18)? Was that for a different time?

Through the prophetic Scriptures, the Lord tells us what His character is like. He guides and warns us. Through the prophet Malachi He says, “For I am the LORD I change not” (Ref Malachi 3:6). Jesus spoke in parables in the Old Testament (Ref Psalm 78:2) and He spoke in parables in the New Testament (Ref Matt 13:13-15). He spoke only in parables (Matt 13:34, Mark 4:34). Why? Because those that understood the parables and wanted to learn more got IN. Those who did not understand and did not care to learn were OUT. If one does not understand this parabolic or symbolic language then the Apostle Paul says,

But if I do not know the meaning of the language, I will [appear to] be a foreigner to the one who is speaking [since he knows exactly what he is saying], and the one who is speaking will [appear to] be a foreigner to me.” (1Cor 14:11)

Paul wanted people to understand this language and his desire was to “edify” (ref 1Cor 14:12), or teach the Church this language. Why is that so important? It is only those who understand, and apply that understanding to their lives, by the power of the Holy Spirit that are saved. The Apostle James, the brother of Jesus, says,

“So get rid of all uncleanness and all that remains of wickedness, and with a humble spirit receive the word [of God] which is implanted [actually rooted in your heart], which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. (James 1:21 & 22 AMP)

This is the position of the Early Church (prior to 325 AD). Understanding the Scriptures spiritually according to the Early Church is crucial to whether one gets IN, or is locked OUT of the kingdom of Christ. Jesus says the kingdom is in you (Ref Luke 17: 20 & 21). The question is: which kingdom? The greatest Early Church Christian writer, Origen (c. 185-251), understood how to see the Scriptures symbolically. Origen said,

“For as long as anyone is not converted to a spiritual understanding a veil is placed over his heart, with which veil, i.e., a gross understanding; Scripture it is said or thought to be covered.” (1)

With the correct understanding one is IN, and without correct understanding, one is OUT. The signs then follow the prophetic, apostolic teaching (Ref Mark 16:17&18).

Our testimonies, here at The Voice of Healing, confirm the Scriptures as we witness stage 4 cancers being healed, aggressive stage 5 prostate cancer, with psa (prostate specific antigen, a biomarker for the prostate) of 163 restored to 4, poly-cystic ovaries, with chronic pain, healed. Yet, the process of healing the soul is the most glorious! From cocaine to meth addiction, dyslexia, major depression with suicide attempts and so much more are happening with the IN group. Why? The Apostle Paul says,

in Him we live and move and exist.” (Ref Acts 17:28).

The shout is going out! The door is about to shut and we want to be IN and not OUT.

Until next time,

I’m Dr Roni,

Shalom
