Informed Consent in the Garden

Hi everyone. In the era of moving boundary markers, whether they are historical (e.g., 1776 and the Declaration of Independence vs the critical race theory (CRT) implant of the Fendi Project) or pronoun persecutions of saying ‘he’ vs ‘she’ or being ‘distanced’ from social media if one’s opinion or statement of information does not match the accepted narrative, one can be ‘canceled’. To call evil good or to not recognize good and call it evil is as ancient as time. It’s the perennial choice of which seeds will dominate the garden of our souls, which is how we think, perceive; it’s our passions, drives etc. It goes way back to that first garden when the choice was given, and the consequences of the selection was explained.

“And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

– Gen 2:9

There will always be a choice to make. Here are the consequences if one chooses not to follow the instructions of the Gardener:

“‘but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die,’”

(Gen 2:17).

This is the ‘informed consent’ given by the Great Physician in the garden.  However, another voice offered a novel therapy of modified DNA (“the seed is word of God” [Luke 8:11]) and planted a word of doubt in the garden contradicting the instructions of the Gardener (Gen 3:1-4). The consequence of the mRNA of disobedience is evident, which is death.  Many diseases have a genetic defect which results in suffering and death. Federal law requires that a treating physician give risks, benefits and alternatives to a recommended therapy, and the consequences of refusal of the recommended therapy, ensuring the patient understands before proceeding with or without the recommended therapy. The progenitor of “misinformation” is the serpent in the garden. The Gardener said there would be a war of words, a war of seeds (Gen 3:15). Here is a quote from Dewey DeTrude, a survivor of a hospital admission for COVID-19 where he states there was no informed consent.

“Once I got to Mayo, they just completely took over, and there was no informed consent. There were no choices, there was no discussion…they just kept upping the oxygen” (1).

~ Dewey DeTrude

The war for our minds is one which affects the body. The apostle Paul says our minds must be ‘renewed’ to get the ‘mind of Christ’ (Rom 12:2, Phil 2:5). But to do that we must have informed consent so we can make the right choice.

Until next time, I’m Pastor Roni,

Blessings!
