Jeremiah Johnson: The Road to Emmaus!

It is time to blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm for the day of the Lord is approaching! Jeremiah Johnson, a prophetic voice, just recently released a word concerning this hour. In it, he said, “God is raising up end time prophetic messengers that will proclaim Jesus Christ and all His glory to the ends of the earth.” The book of Joel talks about an army that will rise up, the likes of which has never been seen nor will be seen again. (Ref Joel 2:2)

Jeremiah Johnson is a teacher and prophetic voice that oversees the Heart of the Father Ministry. He is also the founder of Maranatha School of Ministry, a place of training and equipping end time messengers. Jeremiah travels to many churches and conferences and carries a specific mandate: to bring holiness and consecration back into the church and see true revival break out.

Johnson claims, “These lovesick forerunners are preparing the Bride to meet their Bridegroom King.” A forerunner is one who goes before, a precursor to what is to follow. These people have a deep passion and love of God. They long to see the restoration of all things. John the Baptist had this same passion and was a forerunner to Jesus.

He was the voice crying in the wilderness, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make His paths straight.” (Ref Mat 3:3) Jesus told His disciples that Elijah must come and restore all things. John the Baptist came in the Spirit of Elijah to prepare the people for the coming of the Messiah. However, they didn’t recognize him so he was killed. The Spirit of Elijah must still come and restore all things in order to fulfill the prophecy in Malachi. “And he shall turn and reconcile the hearts of the [estranged] fathers to the [ungodly] children, and the hearts of the [rebellious] children to [the piety of] their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance of the ungodly], lest I come and smite the land with a curse and a ban of utter destruction.” (Malachi 4:6) (2)

He talks about the word of God that “burns inside them like a fire in their bones that they cannot contain”. In the book of Luke, two of the disciples were on the road to Emmaus. They were talking when Jesus appeared to them, but they didn’t recognize Him. It says that beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He explained and interpreted all the scriptures and things concerning and referring to Himself. (Ref Luke 24:13-16, 27) Later that night when He broke bread and they recognized who He truly was, they said, “Were not our hearts greatly moved and burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and as He opened and explained to us [the sense of] the Scriptures?” (Luke 24:32) (2)

When the Word of God is revealed or opened up to us, it should ignite a fire within our souls. That fire burns up our carnal thinking and how we read and interpret scripture. The army in the book of Joel says the fire burns before them and behind them, and the land is as the garden of Eden before them and a desolate wilderness behind. (Ref Joel 2:3)

Johnson says, “This company of burning and shining lamps will devour the Word of God.” The fire speaks of the mysteries and secrets of the kingdom, or parables. It is really speaking about a company of people who understand the parables that Jesus spoke and it transforms their minds by burning out everything that isn’t of God. Jesus opened up and expounded upon those parables to His disciples, but it was only after the masses had left. It was given to those who truly wanted to know. He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables.” (Mark 4:11) (1)

In the parable of the 10 virgins, it says they all took their lamps filled with oil to go meet the bridegroom. Five of them were wise and took more oil for the journey but the other five were foolish and didn’t take extra oil. When the time came to go meet the bridegroom, the foolish ones didn’t have enough oil in their lamps for the journey and had to go back to get more, while the wise went on into the marriage chamber. (Ref Matt 25) The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit or anointing. The Holy Spirit teaches us the deep things of God, the hidden mysteries that are beyond man’s reasoning. (Ref 1Co2:10). These people have revelatory understanding, or oil in their lamps, so they will be able to meet the bridegroom because they know when He is coming.

Just as those disciples had their eyes opened to the scriptures on the road to Emmaus, this company of people is seeing Jesus in a whole new light. Their eyes will be open to the Torah/Law and the Prophets and the deeper meaning which is hidden inside. No longer are these people reading the Bible as a historical book or viewing the Law as a set of rules (do’s and don’ts) but they have had an unveiling to the Truth. They can now see what the Pharisees couldn’t see, they see Jesus in the Old Testament. The sum of scripture is about Him and His character and nature. Once the Word is opened up, life springs forth; just as the shell of a seed breaks open to reveal the life of the plant inside.

Is the fire inside you burning to see Jesus and truly know His heart? Perhaps the fire has gone out or you’re afraid it isn’t burning like before and you want to know how to rekindle it? This move of God that is getting ready to sweep the nations will be one that has never been nor will ever be seen before and the Lord doesn’t want anyone to miss out. There has to be a passion and desire to see Him and know Him. There must be a love for the Truth because Jesus is Truth and not a love for our denominational beliefs. If you are asking yourself if you fit this category of end time messengers, we encourage you to search it out.

We encourage you to sign up for our VOD platform that will give you access to hundreds of revelatory teachings, so you can make sure your lamp is filled with oil for the greatest journey that is getting ready to take place!
