Kent Christmas: 2022 – A Year of Exchange

Kent Christmas stepped out on New Year’s Eve to speak what he believes the Lord is showing him for 2022. Interestingly, he started his message 22 minutes before the new year and confirmed what many others are saying for this new season. The 22nd letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet is the Tav, which looks like the cross and represents a sign or mark. The marking will be significant this year. This year of 2022 has been prophesied to be the year of God’s final move to bring in the harvest and see His glory manifest.

Kent Christmas started off by saying that whenever God does something cataclysmic, He always precedes with the word from the prophets. This is in line with the prophet Amos,

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets”

(Amo 3:7).

Looking at the prophets of the Bible, we see that not only do they not fit in, but in most cases were rejected for the message they brought. Prophets were confrontational, even political. Their job was never to be well-liked or received, but to deliver a message from God. Elijah was sent to deal with Ahab and Jezebel, while John the Baptist (who prophesied in the wilderness to prepare the way for the Lord) was killed by King Herod. Are those who are calling themselves prophets today standing up and declaring the message of God without regard of bringing offense or being well-liked? Unfortunately what we saw this past year was a majority of churches backing down from the fight rather than standing for truth.

As Kent Christmas prepared for the NYE service he was told that Facebook had shut them out from the livestream. Undeterred by this news, Christmas proclaimed that those who had been relying on social media outlets for church purposes weren’t much of a church. He stated that the last trumpet would not be sounding through natural mediums like TV or social media, but every ear would hear the sound out of heaven. Let’s look at the meaning of this trumpet sound.

“But when the days come when the trumpet call of the seventh angle is about to be sounded, then God’s mystery (His secret design, His hidden purpose), as He had announced the glad tidings to His servants the prophets, should be fulfilled (accomplished, completed)”.

(Rev 10:7 AMP)

Maybe you have wondered how everyone on earth will hear the sound of a trumpet, or would we all hear the same one? The truth is, the trumpet isn’t some instrument blowing in heaven, but the voices of the prophets. Scripture tells us that trumpets are God’s prophets as we see in the writings of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and John the revelator (Isa 58:1, Jer 6:17, Rev 1:10). Considering Revelations 3:10 and Amos 3:7 we can see that the apostles and prophets (the trumpets) have to be here until the return of Christ, or the Lord will do nothing. These prophets don’t come with a message of prosperity and physical blessings, but are the confrontational ones like Elijah or John the Baptist. They are sent to declare God’s message and get His people ready.

“Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple”.

(Mal 3:1)

If God’s word always comes back fulfilled (Isa 55:10-13), then there has to be prophets in place to understand and execute what He is revealing.

John the Baptist had been sent in the spirit of Elijah to prepare the way, but because they didn’t understand the message, they rejected it and killed him (ref Matt 17:11-12). Because of this, the Jews missed the Messiah. After John the Baptist’s death, Jesus said that Elijah would come first and restore all things – clearly the restoration of all things has not happened, and the mystery of God is not yet finished (Rev 10:7). So there must be an Elijah company being raised up to prepare souls for the second coming. How do they do this? By revealing the hidden things of God. Paul said in Ephesians 3 that the mystery of Christ was made known to him by revelation – this is the grace which God has for the church: He gives it to His holy Apostles and prophets by revelation, to give to the church so they can also understand the mystery of Christ. As we dive more into this prophetic word, you will see this is what is being talked about.

Christmas prophesied that 2022 was going to be the year of the exchange: this means that what we have in place right now is going to be exchanged for something new. In order to step into the new, there has to be a removal of what is old.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them”.

(Isa 42:9)

An exchange is something given in place of another, or to transform. While this prophecy details many exchanges taking place in the natural realm, it is always a reflection of what is happening in the spiritual realm. As we go through this word we see it confirms other prophetic Words in that the real exchange being prophesied for 2022 is moving from God’s anointing oil, to the fire (light) of His Shekinah Glory. We can only step into this by that exchange taking place in our thinking, which is the process renewing our minds as God reveals Himself to us through the Spirit, where we leave the former mindsets and false understandings/teachings behind.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.

(Rom 12:2)

How does one become renewed in their mind? The truth (revelation of the Word) must be revealed to combat the false/twisted interpretations. The word for understand (G4920) means to bring together combatants (Thayer), meaning new understanding will come and fight with the old. This is where the trumpets come in; the prophets are the ones who break open the word (Logos/letter) for us to see the hidden (Rhema) word inside. Those who have and who are releasing the right understanding of the Word of God are those that have been marked or sealed according to Ezekiel 9 and Revelation 7. The tav or cross seals them, as they have died from false mindsets through receiving, believing and manifesting truth.

Looking at a parable of the seed which has to be sown (planted), and then the outer shell (logos) dies so the inner kernel (rhema) can begin to grow life. God’s word is the seed (Lk 8:11) that must be planted in us as the earth (Gen 2:7) to grow and produce life and the fruit of the Spirit of God. The DNA of the Father is in the seed; once released, a child is produced with the DNA and nature of the Father. The same applies to our spiritual transformation; apostles and prophets (fathers) carry the message (seed, DNA) of God as the seed is the Word. This then begins producing the DNA of the Father in us. As we receive His seed, we are able to allow Him to replace our old attitudes and false understanding and exchange them for God’s DNA, or His character inside of us.

One exchange that he prophesied for 2022 would be a time of wealth and property transferred to the righteous:

“A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his childrens’ children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up”.

(Pro 13:22)

This verse is typically met with lots of ‘amens’ and praise; but what is really being said? Who are the wicked and who are the righteous, and is God going to take money away from wicked people and give to the righteous? In Hebrew thought, sin isn’t lying, cheating or murder as we tend to think; to sin actually means to miss the mark, or miss the way. [1] What is being missed? If we study the word Torah, it speaks of throwing of the finger to a direction or of teaching to direct one’s life; it also speaks of an Archer as one who throws an arrow. [2] An archer throws an arrow to hit the mark. If he misses the mark, the distance from the mark is measured by a piece of rope with evenly spaced knots – each knot is called a sin… The word Torah also speaks of throwing rain, which Deuteronomy 32:2 describes as God’s revelation (teaching). This is saying that Torah is not just a list of do’s and don’ts, but is teaching for us to understand how God wants us to live. [2] This means sin is really a measuring stick that shows us we have missed the mark or even that we do not understand Torah to be able to hit the mark. To be in sin means we need to adjust or correct our aim, which can only be done through adjusting our understanding, which is through teaching that can bring an adjustment in how we perceive the Word (seed) of God, which can then give life to Him in us and adjust our thoughts through revelation and allow us to hit the mark.

If you will recall from above, it is through the Elijah company of trumpets (apostles and prophets) that we receive the seed of God (revelatory teachings), so that we will have the right understanding (be righteous). Those receiving that seed and being transformed by it are the ones being sealed.

Christmas likened this transfer of wealth to the account of God’s promises to the Israelites (houses they didn’t build and vineyards they didn’t plant) before they crossed over into the Promised Land (ref Deut 6:11). However, if we look at the context of chapter six, the promises of God were conditional:

“Hear therefore, O Israel, and be watchful to do them, that it may be well with you and that you may increase exceedingly, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in the land flowing with milk and honey”.

(Deut 6:3)

We are to be watchful to do God’s commands, His Torah/Law. How are we to keep and do His Torah/Law when most of the religious system is either still veiled to the correct understanding of it and so still see it literally, or teaches that it is done away with? Paul said that even to this day, when the Old Testament (Moses/Torah) was read, a veil was on their hearts and that their minds had grown dull, or lost the power of understanding (ref 2 Co 3:15). In order to fully understand and fulfill the commands of God, the veil (covering) has to be removed from the scriptures. This is what is known as the apocalypse; translated to the word revelation, it means a disclosure of truth – it is the uncovering of what has been veiled, or makes manifest what was unknown. [3] The apocalypse is not the end of the world, but an exchange between the old way of having a literal or natural understanding of God’s Word, to that of having an ability to see the deeper, spiritual meaning hidden behind the veil of the letter. The revelation is sown into us through the teachings of the apostles and prophets, who have already received that revelation from God.

God shows us that the only ones who will partake of His blessings are those who have right understanding of His Word to be able to follow His commands: these are those sealed with His mark.

“And it will be accounted as righteousness (conformity to God’s will in word, thought, and action) for us if we are watchful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as He has commanded us”.

(Deut 6:25)

Christmas talked about how the next three years the church will be the most powerful force and the enemy will be nothing but a whimper. That these will be days of heaven on earth.

“What I am going to do in ‘22 is going to shake every house that has been built—those built on the foundation of Jesus Christ will remain standing; those built on foundations of flesh will fall and fall quickly.”

~ Kent Christmas

When Simon Peter received the revelation from the Father that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God, he became Peter the rock. Jesus said it would be on that rock of revelation received from the Father that He would build His church, and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. The church with power to overcome the enemy is the church with revelation. Christmas said there is no fear of the Lord on the earth because there is no fear of the Lord in the church. Proverbs tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A church with no fear has no wisdom, it has no revelation (truth), so it has no power to push back against lies and false mindsets. The enemy is a thief who comes to kill, steal, and destroy (Jn 10:10). The word thief is actually speaking of false teachers who don’t instruct men, but profit off their ignorance. [4]

How many churches understand revelation or can explain the mysteries of God? If asked, most Christians believe the apocalypse is the end of the world, but we just explained it means an uncovering. 2020 was the uncovering of the wicked and their evil agenda on the earth. Over the last two years, we have seen the sad state of the church being forced to close its doors due to the pandemic. Even now, rather than standing in faith believing that God is our healer, they embrace and encourage masks and vaccines to attend service. Prosperity messages have fallen short as many are waking up and demanding to know the truth. Just as Christmas said, the churches built on flesh and not that rock of revelation will fall, and fall quickly.

That is what happens: when the light begins to shine, it overpowers the darkness.

“The light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it.”

(Jn 1:5)

Origen, an early church father, gives us a deeper understanding of what this means,

“In two ways the darkness did not overtake the light. Either it was left far behind and was itself so slow, while the light was in its course so sharp and swift, that it was not even able to keep following it; or if the light sought to lay a snare for the darkness, and waited for it in pursuance of the plan it had formed, then darkness, coming near the light, was brought to an end. In either case the darkness did not overtake the light.” [4]

The same happens when truth comes into our understanding: it combats the lies or false understanding within us. As God has been speaking to His servants, the light has been increasing; it’s just a matter of who can see it. When presented with truth, we are forced to make a decision about what we believe and what we will follow. Do we stay in our old doctrinal belief and keep our religious mindsets? Or do we allow the seed of revelation to penetrate our minds and birth God’s nature and character in us through His DNA seed Word? When we receive the seed of revelation, we become illuminated to battle the darkness or ignorance in our minds.

“For once you were in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light.”

(Eph 5:8)

Early church father, Origen, expounds saying,

“We are speaking of life and the light of men, and the opposite to life is death; the opposite to the light of men, the darkness of men. It is therefore plain that he who is in the darkness of men is in death, and that he works the works of death is nowhere but in darkness…Thus he who was once in darkness has become, like Paul, capable of being light in the Lord…Paul distinctly says that he had once been in darkness but was now light in the Lord, which implies the possibility that darkness should turn into light.” [5]

Many prophets, including Kent, are saying that 2022 is the exchange from dark to light; the exchange from the wisdom of man which profits us nothing, to God’s wisdom spoken in a mystery being revealed (1 Co 2). This requires a change in everyone’s mindset, and for those who will receive God’s wisdom, they will be prepared to step into the glory that He will pour out. Let’s look some more.

Christmas said there is much to be fulfilled, and only a short time to prepare, and God has been preparing laborers for this last great harvest. Who are the laborers? They have to be the remnant whom we have discussed: those sealed/marked by Elijah. In the parable of the wedding banquet (Matt 22), God raised up His servants, the remnant, to bring in the harvest because the church refused to come.

“The wedding [feast] is prepared, but those invited were not worthy.”

(Matt 22:8)

The invited (the church) was found having no worth, or no value. They had not been prepared by the revelation of the Word. The religious system can’t get the harvest because there is no truth or light in them to combat the darkness. The Greek word for light is Photizo, meaning to enlighten, spiritually imbue with saving knowledge, instruct, inform, teach. [6] They don’t carry the light from the seed of God having the DNA of God, so remain unable to bring an exchange, or to transform the souls and minds of the harvest.

Christmas declared,

“Before the great and terrible day I will release the Elijah anointing in the earth. Prepare yourselves for 2022 will be remembered as the days of Elijah”.

The Lord said He was not only going to destroy the prophets of Baal, but open up heaven that had been shut up to release the former and latter rain over the earth.

~ Kent Christmas

Elijah had the ability to open and shut the heavens, meaning he had the ability to call down rain, (God’s revelation) or close the heavens and give no rain (teachings). Peter was given the same authority when Jesus said “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matt 16:19). The Elijah company carries those same keys: the ability to open our heavens, our minds, to receive the teachings.

Those who have renewed their mind or have exchanged false thinking for the truth, will be able to restore others and fulfill God’s plans on earth. This is speaking of the restoration of all things, bringing heaven to earth, or going back into His glory as in the garden before the fall.

The Lord also said,

“For the next three years will bind the Spirit of Jezebel that has seduced the earth.”

~ Kent Christmas

God raised up Elijah to destroy Jezebel and the false prophets at the time of Ahab; and also John the Baptist came in the Spirit of Elijah to deal with the religious system of his day. Is Jezebel the world that has seduced God’s people? No. In the book of Revelation, God rebukes the church at Thyatira for allowing Jezebel to teach and seduce God’s servants, making them commit fornication (ref Rev 2:20). The spirit of Jezebel are those in the churches that have corrupted the people by bringing in multiple seeds (doctrines), and not the true seed word of God. We have over 39,000 different denominations within Christianity today, all with different interpretations of the Word (God) and multiple ways to heaven. Jesus said there was one way, and that was through Him, the Word. So God is once again raising up a remnant to remove the false teachers and doctrines that have kept His people in bondage.

“Just as there has been a boldness from the enemy to intimidate the earth–so now am I raising up an Elijah prophet in this hour that will have the boldness to look Jezebel in the eye and say you are not going to rule over My people!”

~ Kent Christmas

Jezebel hated Elijah for bringing the revelation of truth, just as the religious system hates the Elijah company coming to deal with their false doctrines. Hate did not stop Elijah from confronting the false prophets and calling down fire from heaven. The fire is the divine nature of God, it is His hidden secrets being revealed. The Hebrew word for flame is Lahat, which speaks of a cover, veil, or secret. [7] The cherubim that are placed on the curtain before the Holy of Holies are holding flaming swords, just as God placed cherubims with flaming swords to guard the way back into the garden. We have to have the understanding of the mysteries and the things God hid from fallen man; we have to receive the revelation as God opens it to us in order to step back into the glory. The year of the exchange: of replacing ignorance with truth, and darkness with light.

This remnant has been prepared because they have gone through the fire and been tried by the word. They are ready to battle with the false religious system that operates in darkness having no illumination; they have been marked, they died to self and have been washed in the Word. The fire or the light (as we spoke of earlier) is purifying this remnant to be prepared for the coming season where they will carry the illumination to others after they have received God’s DNA through His seed Word, and now look like Christ, walking as He walked.

“And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.”

(Zec 13:9)

In his prophecy, Christmas revealed the nature of those who are going to bring in the harvest:

“The men and women I am releasing to bring in this final harvest are going to operate in unparalleled gifts, power, and anointing. These men and women are not going to fall into sin or disappoint the body of Christ or fail Me. Headlines will not record their failures but will stand and be amazed at their tenacity and character, for in the midst of the fire they have stood. These are warriors that have been hidden in the fiery furnace and have come out with My nature stamped on their souls.”

~ Kent Christmas

“For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.”

(Ps 66:10)

The Lord said, “There will never be another season where wickedness rules over the earth for the church I am raising up is a glorious church without spot, wrinkle or blemish. I am now going to give you authority and power over demon spirits that have ruled this nation. I am giving to the church in ‘22 an anointing that has never been seen in this hour. This is My hour, get ready for the coming of the Lord getting ready to hit the earth!”

The church isn’t escaping at the sound of a trumpet in the sky. Rather, the remnant is being chosen, prepared and sealed to tear down the false teachings circulating IN the church system. This is the year that is being marked as an exchange, going from one form to another, moving from the anointed teachings to the fire of His glory.

“Yet You have made him (man) but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet”.

(Ps 8:5-6)

As Kent Christmas prophesied, the time is short and much needs to be done. Despite the balance of what we see happening in the world, it is really the powers of darkness having their last blast of freedom as they know their time is done. We are in the time that Paul wished to be alive, the glory is truly going to be revealed and all will see it.

“Arise! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

(Isa 60:1)

The question is are you prepared, or are you at least getting prepared to handle what God is about to do?

“But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”.

(Hab 2:14)
