Kent Christmas: Prophetic Word for 2020

The Lord says:

In 2020 I am opening heaven for my saints. The greatest days are upon thee. This is the hour the church will be lifted up, the best is yet to come. The Lord is going to release something so glorious, both Spiritually, and in the natural realm. This final move of the Lord will be led by a remnant who heard His call: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Mat 11:28) and have exchanged their burdens to receive the fullness of Him, “So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.” Mat 20:16

Kent Christmas, head pastor of Resting Place Church in Nashville, Tennessee brings a powerful message from the throne room describing a coming period of judgement and re-order in both the church as well as in the nations. The tone is non-compromising as he announces that the Lord’s final move will bring the fullness of the glory of God:

“to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe” 2Th 1:10

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” Amo 3:7

Christmas tells us that the Lord is making 2020 the beginning of the last transfer of wealth in the earth; a final move of His presence and glory that it is not a revival for the church, but a harvest of a lost generation who did not reject God, but rejected the counterfeit church. This harvest will be brought in by an unrecognizable church who have suffered in the wilderness to be changed by the Lord through tests and trials as Abraham was with Isaac, and also as Jesus was:

“Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” Mat 4:1

This church will be a remnant who have been broken by the Lord to prove and prepare their hearts for the blessings required to carry out His final work:

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Mat 16:24

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:18

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations” Rev 2:26

“These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God. Rev 14:4-5

A people not known in the world, but who move the heavens:

“That now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places” Eph 3:10

We hear that the Lord will pull down strongholds that rule over nations:

  • Abortion – The generation of the lost seed will be saved and made into a voice on the earth.
  • Homosexuality – An authority and anointing will be released to set people free who were taken captive through the church’s failure to operate in their power and authority.
  • Depression – Hearts will be healed and joy will be given to the people.

Christmas announces the Lord’s coming judgement to the church: exposing the devil, the false prophets, the wolves in sheeps clothing and the false leadership who do not believe the words of the prophets. Those who water down the message to offer only a form of God without power. These will lose their congregations to true shepherds chosen by God who will release His power by the anointing He gives them.

“And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:4-5

2020 will be remembered as the year of purifying. The anointing of an Elijah mantle has been placed on chosen men on the earth to destroy the Spirit of Jezebel – witchcraft trying to destroy the nation. These men will expose this foul spirit permeating the government, the colleges and the churches. As with Elijah: first the fire, then the rain.

“Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.”
Mat 17:11

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.”
Mal 3:2

This purifying is judgement, and Christmas is saying that judgement will come not just to the church, but also to the media, the government, to politicians, drug companies, to Hollywood and to sports (this Word prophesied a huge decline in attendance to sports events before COVID-19, and has since come to pass). Judgement will also come to the educational system which has denied the existence of God

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions”.
Joe 2:28

The Lord is going to take back all that the devil has stolen so His people can worship Him. This Word of the Lord says He will begin to cause the world to shake in her shoes. The remnant have been in intercession, but it is time for them to rise; it is time for the shout of victory and triumph. They have been hidden, but the veil is being lifted off of the end time church as the bridegroom lifts the veil off His bride.

“Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations.
Joe 2:1-2

This is certainly a powerful message highlighting an exciting time… a time to search our hearts and press into the Lord to fully understand who He is and the truth of who His people are, that we might be

“presented to Him a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without blemish.” Eph 5:27

And not be one to whom He declares

“I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Mat 7:23

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Mal 4:5-6
