In the book of Exodus, God instructed Moses to build a sanctuary or tabernacle so that He might dwell among them. The word tabernacle means a dwelling place for God. Moses was given the blueprint then commissioned builders who had God’s wisdom to build it. Symbolically, the details and specifications of the tabernacle point to a progression in our understanding of the Word of God.
