Jesus said, “Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are without, all these things are said in parables” (Mark 4:11). In this teaching, Pastor Jeff Sherk, breaks down the word parable and why Jesus chose to speak to the masses in parabolic language. In the parable of the seed and the sower (Mark 4:17-20) the Torah is the root, Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. However, if we don’t allow the seed Word into our hearts and water it with the revelation of truth, we will never bear fruit. Ultimately Jesus chose to reveal the truth to those who followed Him. The same is true now as He is enlightening those who seek truth and blinding those who are disobedient.
