The Mighty Hand of God

As we look at current events and what is happening in our country, it makes one wonder what The Lord is revealing to us, so that we may understand what is happening spiritually in the heavens. The Scriptures tell us that God first reveals His plans to His servants the prophets in Amos 3:7 and how the natural comes first and then the spiritual after (1 Corinthians 15:46). As we look at today’s events, there are the very few (the remnant) that can see and understand where we are in biblical times. The Lord God does not want only the few to hear Him and obey Him. He labored so “that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever” (Jos 3:24). The Lord does not work on a whim; He is purposeful in all that He does for us and within us (Psa 57:2).

While the country and most people have been fixated on elections and the pandemic, the Lord is revealing to His Prophets what is going on spiritually. In 1 Samuel 9:9 a prophet was formerly called a seer in Israel. The word seer in the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon Bible is defined as the ability to see, perceive or have a vision. Jesus tells us in Matthew 13:16 that those who have eyes to see are blessed. But he mentions in just a few passages above that there are those who have ears and do not hear and those who have eyes and do not see. He makes a clear distinction that there are two different pairs of eyes and ears. There are those that are natural eyes and ears and those that are able to see and hear in the spirit. Those who can see and hear what the Lord is saying and using their spiritual eyes and ears are the ones who are blessed. Those Prophets who can see what is going on in the natural can foretell, see, and understand what is happening spiritually. For those who are seeing what God is doing on the earth can foretell the times and can unfold where we are biblically. This is how the Lord speaks to His true Prophets.

As the Lord speaks to His true Prophets, He desires that we may all come into this oneness and unity (Ephesians 4:13). The Lord does a mighty work in our lives in getting us through hard times as He did with the Hebrews as they were freed from Egypt and from the stronghold of Pharaoh. The word Egypt, in Hebrew, speaks of limiting (Strong H4692). When the Hebrews were in Egypt they were stuck in a mindset of limiting God. The Lord revealed to Moses, during that time what the Lord would do to Pharaoh (Exo 6:1). The Lord allowed Moses, as a Prophet of God, to see what He was doing and what He would do with His people as He released the Plagues. In comparison to the current times we are in, God is doing the same with His people who are listening and seeing with their spiritual eyes to understand. God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4). He reveals and shows us events and situations so that we may see the plans that He has for us (Jeremiah 29:11).

The Lord has mercifully provided His people with these Apostles and Prophets so that we may come into perfection/oneness. The Lord has commanded us to step into His perfection as He states in Matthew 5:48. In this verse the word perfection is the Greek word teleios. This word teleios is defined as completeness and of full age or maturity. This is all possible by having the Mighty hand of God upon our lives. Without His hand, we are without power and it is impossible to attain this perfection. The word mighty in Greek is the word dunatos which is defined as powerful, capable and strong. If we try and do things on our own understanding, might and power, we are not allowing the power of God to move (1Cor 2:14). We are working out of our own flesh or the natural state. But, remember as before mentioned, those who are blessed are those who understand by the Spiritual senses. The Lord will make himself known to the whole earth (2 Chron 2:9). Even now, as His people are experiencing a global pandemic, shutdowns, and curfews to try to keep us silent and separated, God is showing us how to be still and know that He is God (Psa 46:10). Though the world may be flooded with a sickness, the Lord is faithful to show His remnant a way back to Him. The Lord says He will bring His children out from among the people with His Mighty Hand (Eze 20:34).

Therefore, we should understand who the Lord is revealing His plans to, step into His plans for our lives, and humble ourselves under the Mighty hand of God (1 Pet 5:6).

1Pe 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

1Pe 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

1Pe 5:9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
