Walking in Between the Raindrops | Deborah Waldron Fry

James 5:7-12 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. (1)

Hosea 6:5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; And your judgments are like light that goes forth. (1)

The second and final coming of the Lord is at hand! Yet, there is only a remnant able to perceive it (Ref: Joel 2:32). The Gospel of Matthew tells us Jesus was teaching in parables which held the secrets of the Kingdom. Those that had ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to perceive were able to receive and understand the revelation of the parables (Ref: Mat. 13:10).  These pearls were not just given freely to anybody, but were paid for through sacrifices.

In this prophecy, Deborah Waldron Fry received a vision of the latter rain falling on the earth right now, but those with the earthly mindset could not perceive it. She called them the unsaved. How could that be?

Apostle Michael Petro mentioned that the latter rain is not a physical event, but a typology. We can see that these rains are symbolic of what is happening within the spirit. God is Spirit, yet man has used an earthly understanding to interpret His teachings.  The carnal, earthly mind is at enmity with God (Ref: Rom 8:7)! These mindsets could never truly understand the spiritual or revelation of the Word. Which inevitably prevents them from coming into unity with the Lord. (Ref: Jer 3:3, John 4:23-24, 1 Cor 2:14, Matt 13:34-35, Psalms 78:2).
Those who are choosing to press into God, to understand the deeper spiritual things of the Word, are having their spiritual eyes and ears opened to these revelations.  This can be seen with the disciples of Jesus throughout the gospels, who were pressing to understand the parables of His teachings. Hosea 6 mentions the Lord is coming like the latter rain to those who are pursuing the knowledge of the Lord, (Ref: Deut 32:2, Luke 8:9-10).  He said He would send the latter rain in its season (Ref: Deut 11:14, Jer 5:24).

The Hebrew word for season is H4150 “moed”, and is defined in the as an appointed time or season, a signal, a sign, an assembly convened for a definite purpose.  The Lord is pouring out the latter rains now, which means His return is imminent. (2)

The prophecy continues to mention a healing, a restoration from the years the locusts have eaten.  We know these locusts cannot physically eat “years”, so we have to look deeper into this meaning.  The book of Joel likens these locusts to the religious systems of today that have brought upon destruction and wickedness through their false teachings.  Their earthly interpretations to the spiritual Word has brought confusion, doubt, and misguidance to God’s people.  The consequential transgressions such as lying, cheating, depression, self-deprecation, etc; are things that people can be healed and set free from.  The Lord says in Matthew 13 that He would heal those that would turn to Him, which He is the Word.  Through this healing, the mind is being transformed from earthly things to heavenly, spiritual things (Ref: Rom 12:2).  This renewing, or restoration process is evident of walking in the straight and narrow way which leads to salvation (Ref: Matt 7:13-14). This salvivic walk is indicative of Elijah.  In Matthew 17, Jesus says Elijah would come to restore all things.  He is coming to make the way straight, which is the narrow way to salvation. Therefore, Elijah is here now, teaching and unveiling the mysteries of the scriptures to prepare His people for His return.

Apostle Michael Petro unveils to us the deeper meaning of Hosea 6:1& 5 as these prophets come to tear down earthly mindsets. They are chiseling or cutting this remnant into what He wants them to be; which brings a death by the Word of God.  This is the healing or restoration of all things through knowledge and understanding of the mysteries of the kingdom. In Revelations 2:20, Jesus refers to the church as Jezebel. God’s prophet whom she tried to have killed was Elijah. This Elijah company, God’s remnant, is not going to look anything like the church we see today. The religious systems will hate them because the glory of God will be upon them. Just as Saul was towards David, the Pharisees towards Jesus, so will the church be towards His remnant. However, the victory belongs to the Lord and to those who love Him.

The prophecy also mentions being baptized in the waters from the throne of grace.  Baptism speaks of a cleansing or being born again, a resurrection and initiation.  The latter rain or revelation is His grace which Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 3 was

“given to him for us that we may understand the mysteries”.

This is the apostolic teaching, the grace which Elijah is releasing now; the latter rains of Jesus (Ref Col 2:12, Eph 5:26, Pro 16:15).
